This site commemorates the men and women of Collingham, Linton and Micklethwaite who served during World War 1. Today we especially commemorate Captain Eric Donaldson of the 1st London Field Ambulance Royal Army Medical Corps who died on this day in 1970.
Powell, Edgar

Both the December 1914 and February 1915 copies of the Collingham Parish magazine contained lists of people connected with the village who had volunteered and who were serving in the Forces. Both sources list Edgar Powell as being in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve. However we have been unable to identify anyone of this name with a connection at that time with Collingham, and we have been unable to definitively find a service record in the Royal Navy or the RNVR that would belong to an Edgar Powell connected with Collingham.

Please contact us if you can provide any further information.
