Cordingley, Percival

Buried Ipswich

Percival Cordingley's name appears on the electoral roll for Collingham in 1918 showing he was absent due to Naval or Military service, but we have been unable to trace exactly what that service was.

Percival was born in Leeds in 1890, the son of Walter and Mary Cordingley. His father was a licensed victualler and he had three elder sisters and an older brother.

In 1911, he was living with his parents and siblings at 101 Whitehill Road, Bramley, Leeds and was working as a Fire Insurance Clerk.

On the 18th October 1922, Percival married Winifred Smith in St. Oswald's Church, Collingham. He died in 1962 in Suffolk.
