This site commemorates the men and women of Collingham, Linton and Micklethwaite who served during World War 1.
Tomlinson, Fred
(1891-?)

Fred Tomlinson was born in Wetherby in 1891, the son of John Tomlinson a groom and his wife Mary. John was an early volunteer for service in the war, being reported as serving by the Wetherby News on the 23rd October 1914.

On the electoral roll for Micklethwaite in 1918, Fred is listed as being absent due to Naval or Military service, but we have been unable to find a military service which definitely links to this man.

We have found that Banns of Marriage for Fred were read on the 17th and 24th February 1918 and again on the 3rd March, but Fred does not appear to have married Ethel Dowson until 1921.
